With an academic background including a BA Degree in Interpersonal, Organizational, and Systems Communication from Stanford University, graduate training in International Business from Arizona State University Graduate School of Business, and training in Spiritual Leadership from Trinity Graduate Theological Seminary, Anderson excelled both in academia and athletics. As an acclaimed athlete Billy earned accolades as a two-time Football Bowl Champion, being named Stanford Football Special Teams Captain, earning recognition as the Stanford Football Unsung Hero Award winner, and ultimately being honored by the Stanford Football Program as the namesake of the Stanford Football- Billy Anderson Commitment to Community Outreach Award, which is bestowed annually to a member of the Stanford Varsity Football Team who best exemplifies a commitment to community service .
Over 35 years of Leadership in both the private and non-profit sectors have seen Anderson continually spearheading initiatives to support marginalized communities and individuals. Following more than a decade and a half in Senior Leadership within the Microelectronics industry, Anderson's commitment to service led him to help build and lead charitable organizations which provide support and uplift to incarcerated men, women and youth, returning Combat Veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and impoverished children and families in Central Africa. As a result of his efforts, Anderson was declared a Phoenix Street Saint by formal proclamation of (then) Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano and also receive recognition as the Lincoln Ragsdale Outstanding Director Award by the Black Board of Directors Project.
Anderson's most ambitious and personally fulfilling charitable work began in 2006 when he established the first Free Football Camp for Underserved Youth, known originally as the Angel Tree Football Clinic, and presently as the Fierce Life Youth (FLY) Football Camps. He has partnered with multiple Corporate Sponsors, non-profit organizations, the Stanford University Football program, and the NFL Alumni Association to bring more than 60 free camps, featuring more than 500 former College and NFL Football players, as Coach/Mentors, to more than 5,000 boys and girls living in challenging circumstances and communities across the United States. Ultimately this nearly two decades labor of love earned him recognition as a recipient of the Jefferson Award, which is often referred to as the "Nobel Prize for Public Service."
Now retired from "Corporate Life", Anderson has spent the last 12 years leading a globally impactful Life Success Coaching practice, while also honing his craft and making his mark as a successful Voice Actor, featured in Commercials, Corporate Narration, Video Games, Animation, eLearning, Live Events and other creative Voice projects. He continues to run his Charitable Football Camps, travel the world with a preference for weeks spent in the Caribbean Islands, spend blissful hours listening to his extensive collection of Jazz LPs and CDs, put in rigorous hours cycling on his two Road Bikes "Coltrane" and "Shabaka" and his Mountain Bike "Muddy Waters", and enjoy cherished time with his siblings, adult children, grandchildren, and significant other/life partner.
